Contemplative French drama set three years after the Paris riots of 1968. With hopes of revolution still high in society, aspiring artist Gilles (Clément Métayer) is torn between his painting and his protesting. After his girlfriend Laure (Carole Combes) moves to London it isn’t long before he meets like-minded Christine (Lola Créton) who is committed to the same ideas as himself.

After one of their protests results in the police coming after them they escape to Italy for the summer, and in between parties, his art and more political rallies, Gilles becomes interested in film making as a creative medium.
